Female Reproductive System

The organs of the female reproductive
system consist of:

internal:
ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix and vagina

external:
mons pubis, labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, and Bartholin's glands

Nearby structures are the bladder, urethra, pubic bone, rectum and anus.

The ovaries produce oocytes (eggs) and the hormones estrogen and progesterone. The Bartholin's glands secrete a lubricating fluid.		 Female Reproductive System medical illustration
